UK Theme Parks: Opening Dates 2010

This year theme parks in the UK are open for longer than ever before, the main 2010 theme park season kicks off in March with the launch of new rides and attractions and draws to a close in November with a variety of special events, here are some key dates for your diary:

Alton Towers: 20th March - 6th November

Thorpe Park: 18th March 2009 - 7th November

Chessington World of Adventures: 27th March - 1st November

Drayton Manor: 20th March - 31st October

Legoland Windsor: 20th March - 31st October

UK Theme Parks: Halloween 2009

There are lots of events at the UK's top theme parks for Halloween 2009...

Alton Towers Scarefest: 17th Oct - 1st Nov

Hair-raising antics and spooktacular surprises as Terror of the Towers, The Boiler House, and Field of 1000 Screams all return for another Halloween, plus there'll be Trick or Treat Doors, characters and more!

Thorpe Park Fright Nights: 12th Oct - 1st Nov

Dare you enter the spine-chilling live action horror mazes Se7en, Hellgate, The Asylum, and The Curse. Face Your Fears as SAW - The Ride comes alive, and experience exhilarating rides in the dark.

Chessington Halloween Hocus Pocus: 23rd Oct - 1st Nov

The whole family will enjoy magical entertainment and spooky shows as wicked witches and naughty goblins take over the park! A new Black Forest Haunt walk through will challenge even the bravest souls.

UK Theme Parks: February Half Term 2009

There are lots of events at the UK's top theme parks for February Half Term 2009...

Alton Towers Hullabaloo

Treat the kids to some half term excitement when some of the most famous rides at Alton Towers will be open for all the family to enjoy! Rides available include Nemesis, Oblivion, Spinball Whizzer, Runaway Mine Train, Hex, Duel, and Blade.

Thorpe Park Thrill Chill

Some hair-raising rides will be available for thrill hunters in need of a fix to banish the winter blues! Rides available include Stealth, Colossus, Rush, Detonator, Vortex, X:\No Way Out, Zodiac, Mr Monkey's Banana Ride, and the Chief Rangers Carousel.

Chessington Zoo Days

Open from 10am until 3pm, visit Chessington Zoo and Sea Life Centre to encounter many magical animal experiences. You'll see everything from Asiatic Lions and Sumatran Tigers to majestic sharks and magnificent stingrays. Plus great live shows!
